Brighton Tips: Permera

The 3.30 Brighton isn’t a strong race and Masterson is the obvious favourite, he’s looking to complete a hat-trick and has Silvestre De Sousa aboard but can be opposed at the prices.

Permera is one of the more lightly raced horses in the field and although the filly is yet to win there have been glimmers of encouragement.

Last time out at Sandown she finished fifth of six in a better race than todays. The steady pace may have helped her finish closer to better horses but the form has worked out well. Permera ran the fourth fastest closing sectional of the race, the three horses quicker than her have since finished 211112.

Permera is also Darryll Holland’s only ride of the day, at a track he rides particularly well (5-28; 18% strike rate). The clues are there for a potentially big run.
