Masters Tips: Phil Mickelson

Masters Tips: Phil Mickelson

Leads the tour in adjusted scoring average and has a fabulous record at Augusta; 3 wins and 12 top-tens.

With all the hype around the big-3 (or four or five!) in world golf the renaissance of Phil Mickelson has gone largely unnoticed. Normally that would be a crying shame but not when betting is involved.

The 45-year-old has happily spoken at length about his improved swing and that has translated into results.

Mickelson has three top-5s already this season and went desperately close at Pebble Beach back in February. The most impressive statistic is that going into the Houston Open he led the tour in adjusted scoring average.

If Mickelson is anywhere close to his best (and the numbers say he is) then he will be a massive danger around Augusta. He is a three time winner of the Masters and has twelve further top-10 finishes including a second place last year.

Another strong showing at the Houston Open suggests his game is warming up nicely and at 20/1 he is a cracking each-way bet with Skybet paying ¼ odds for a top-8 finish.
